#LivingWaterWiseWednesday: California Suspends Drought Water Restrictions
The state decided to allow hundreds of local water districts to set their own conservation goals after a wet winter eased the five-year drought in some parts of the state. Beginning June 1, hundreds of water districts serving almost 40 million Californians will weigh supply with demand and report savings goals to the state. There is no question that California is still under some extreme drought conditions, particularly in the southern half of the state. Yet many reservoirs have finally recovered and efforts need to continue to ease any potential impact in the future.
